A new dance group forming, which will dance traditional Mexican regional dances, will hold its first fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 11, to raise money to purchase outfits for the group. The event starts at 6 p.m. at St. Thomas Fitzgerald Hall, 1380 Bird St. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. A $300 raffle drawing will also be held. Ridge Community Family Festival: The festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 18 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 767 Elliott Rd. The event will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and admission is free. The second annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, in the Las Plumas High School multipurpose room.
